ONE FOR THE ROAD

All’s well that ends…well at least there is an ending to the most nightmarish Redskins season in decades. If there is a light at the end of the tunnel it’s bound to be a train steam rolling right through the franchise. Sure Snyder secured an old Redskin faithful in Bruce Allen son of George. Unlike in his dad’s time 60 men together really can lose and lose in a humbling humiliating fashion. Redskins Park will most likely house a new group of 60 or 50 next season because many on the current rosters started packing their bags at the end of November.
I hope the younger Allen can help turn things around to lets say .500 football but it will be a daunting task. He did not exactly set the world on fire in Tampa Bay another team joining Washington on the NFL skid row. And then there is the matter of the mystery coach or coaches and no clue to whose behind center number one when it comes to a starting quarterback?
The season ends with a game against the Chargers a team that could possibly go to the Superbowl. I predicted a 4-12 finish for the boys in burgundy and so far I am looking prophetic. It would be nice if they proved me wrong but it is doubtful. Wait until next year, new team, new…coach and a new beginning to a forgettable season.
